Carmelo’s career started his career when he joined the Property Planning Group of Ayala Land, Inc. doing research for their proposed serviced apartment projects. He then moved into the architectural arena as Draftsman at JBA & Associates and gradually rose the ranks to Project Architect II at Araneta Center, Inc., one of the Philippines’ pioneers and largest mixed-use real estate developers. His experience then extended to identifying and qualifying architectural products in neighboring Asian countries when he joined Eurotiles Industrial Corp. thereafter. In 2012 he headed business development when he joined Aidea Philippines, Inc.
In his private practice, Carmelo was the principal architect for, Casino Filipino’s Cavite Coliseum – VIP Club, Capilla San Aemilliano, Mabuhay Deseret Cranio-Facial Surgical Clinic, Studio Central – Hong Kong, and One Mercedes Plaza Mall. He also undertook a number of food chain restaurants and service corporations including Pizza Hut and Budget Rent-a-Car. He is currently focusing in cleanroom facilities with projects such as the Bauertek Manufacturing Facility in Bulacan and the Mielsen Facility in Pasig.
